I am a native of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and have focused my legal profession in the area of family law. After law school, I began working with a law firm as an associate attorney focusing mainly on family law cases. I have successfully negotiated and resolved numerous divorce and custody cases, and I have tried numerous contested divorce cases and contested custody cases across the State of Maryland, with my primary practice in Anne Arundel County. Not only have I represented parties in divorce and custody actions, I have also been appointed by the Court as a best interest’s attorney for children. Additionally, I volunteer some of my time at the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County as a facilitator to help mediate cases at Scheduling Conferences.
In recognition of my standing in the legal community, I have been designated as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Baltimore magazines for the past two years.
In regards to my education, I received my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2003. During law school, I served as an Affiliate Editor of Margins Law Journal and served as a summer judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Philip T. Caroom, in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. I received my undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland located in College Park in the year 2000. I was a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Christina Bayne, P.A., I gained experience as an associate attorney for a busy Anne Arundel County law firm, practicing primarily in the fields of family law and civil litigation. I have successfully negotiated settlements and tried contested hearings in divorce, child custody and personal injury matters. I also have significant experience drafting legal documents such as Marital Separation Agreements, Parenting Plans, Last Will and Testaments, and Powers of Attorney.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and my Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Heuisler Honor Society. While in law school, I competed in National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition for two seasons. After graduating from law school, I served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Kathleen G. Cox and the Honorable C. Charles Deeley, Jr. in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.
On a personal note, I was born in Anne Arundel County and am a lifelong Maryland resident. I am an avid fan of Maryland sports teams, including the Ravens, Orioles and Terps.
